Zoo day

Kathryn LOVES bees! This pic is of her telling the bees in our flower bed "bye-bye" as we left the house this morning. Mickey and Minnie have a friend on an episode that is a bee (which, by the way, is super creepy looking!). I guess from that Kathryn thinks she should have bees as friends too! I keep telling her they can sting her and it would hurt but she just continues to ignore me and try to touch them.

Kathryn and I went to the zoo this morning and had a great time! We went to see the elephants first. When we got to the large elephants enclosure he was "going potty". At this point I will back up to before we left for the zoo. Kathryn is potty trained, mostly. This morning she had an "accident". I was cleaning up the "situation" and while doing so leaned over to the sink and vomited. Good times! So needless to say the welcome we received from Mr. Elephant was about the last thing I wanted to see!! He then tinkled. Once he finished Kathryn clapped and said "yay". I was really glad no one else was around at the time!

Below is a pic of Miss Kathryn at the splash pad at the zoo. She had a blast! I sat in a shaded area and soaked up all the laughter and happy baby shrieks of joy!



My nephew, Thomas, eating one of his favorite snacks! He eats everything! He'll eat plain tomatoes, avocado, veggie soup (he will request it), hummus (loves!), the list goes on and on. Just like my baby ; )

Kathryn was playing with her pretzels and then started putting them in between her toes. This is how she ate them, put them between her toes then take them out and put them in her mouth.

Here is Kathryn's 4th of July outfit I made her last week. I messed it up a little bit but since it's a seasonal shirt decided not to redo it. Rob said he didn't even notice : )

I'm not sure what is going on but in the last week and a half I've been "off" with my appliques. I'm taking a break, maybe I'm burned out and need a break.



This is an outfit I (almost) finished a few weeks ago. I figured I'd go ahead and post since who knows when I will finish it! Kathryn doesn't even care about the baby doll's dress but I love it! Since taking this pic I monogrammed the doll's dress with a "B" (for baby, what Kathryn calls her).



Here is the swimsuit pattern I plan to make for Kathryn this summer. I just love it! The second pic is a screen shot of the swimsuit I want to copy. Fortunately, I already have some orange gingham and a crab applique. I may have to make Thomas a matching pair of swim trunks.
