Good riddance stomach virus

Kathryn got sick with a stomach virus last Saturday morning and was sick until Wednesday : ( I will save everyone the details but will say it was gross. The one good thing is she was incredibly snugly. She was so pitiful and was such a good little patient.

The Easter egg hunt at our church. She had chocolate all over her dress but she enjoyed herself!

Waving her palm for Palm Sunday

Kathryn did SO many cute things in the week before she was sick. Two Sunday nights ago Rob & I were sitting in the floor of Kathryn's room reading her bedroom stories. When Rob finished Kathryn said " hug mommy". She then came & gave me a big hug. Then went & gave daddy a big hug. This continued with hugging me (then rob) from behind & insisting that Rob (then me) hug me & her!! Then she started "kiss mommy". We would have done that all night!

My mom & her fiancé came for a quick trip Friday before last. They bought his (Bill) dogs. The smaller one, Molly, got spooked by Kathryn twirling around in her dress (with the dress hitting Molly in the face) & snipped at her. Kathryn freaked out & once she calmed down she kept pointing at Molly saying "Molly away". Kathryn is fonder of the [world's largest] German Shepard, Rocky. She had a tea party with him, which mostly consisted of her trying to shove a cup in Rocky's mouth.

I was getting ready to go for a quick trip to the grocery store one night two weeks ago & told Kathryn we needed to get her dressed & she said "no". I asked her if she wanted to stay with daddy & she said "yes" (insert hope that this is true!). I, of course, didn't believe her so I asked several more times & finally she said "mommy go" & pointed at the door! I left with her happily playing with random stuff in Rob's office.

On Good Friday afternoon my Mom, Ashley, Will and Thomas came down for Easter. My mom, Rob and I went to Trinity for the Good Friday evening service and it was amazing. I'm so glad we went and will definitely do so in the future.

On Saturday we went to get Kathryn out of bed and there was vomit EVERYWHERE. I just stood there unable to figure out what to do first. Like I said above, I won't provide too many details. Kathryn kept telling us it was yucky!

Kathryn went on an Easter egg hunt with Thomas after lunch and they had a great time! Kathryn collected 95% of the eggs while Thomas went around kicking them and occasionally opening one to eat the treat in it. Then Kathryn sat down with my mom to get help open all her eggs.

Here are the "babies" chilling out before the big egg hunt.

Guess who made Thomas' outfit. I hated that I didn't get pics of Kathryn in hers with Thomas but I wasn't about to bother her with her feeling so bad.

Poor Thomas looks so tired!

Easter morning

Notice where the dog is. It was so adorable, she put the dining chair by the stove. At first I thought nothing of it then I realized she was doing that because when she helps my cook (not at the stove of course) she pulls up one of the kitchen table chairs.

Rob's last day of school EVER is Wednesday!! Three days left! Unfortunately he doesn't have a job yet so we don't know where we will end up. I try not to think about it and if I do I pray that something will work out and that whatever that is we will be at peace with it.

In honor of Rob's graduation I am having a luncheon for him next Saturday at our house. It is just our families coming down minus Ashley, Will and Thomas (they will be on vacation). I'll provide details after the luncheon since Rob reads this : )

I few funny things Kathryn has done/said:
-I made Kathryn a dress with Cinderella's carriage on it. I was asking her if she liked the carriage and she said "no, pumpkin".
-Rob was helping Kathryn clean up her play-doh a few days ago and Kathryn started singing the clean-up song. Rob joined in and so did I. She said "Dot [stop], Daddy," and pointed at me and said, "Mommy," wanting me to sing instead. It cracks us up, she is always telling Rob to stop singing or doing things but most of the time she lets mommy get away with it : )
-A couple of weeks ago Kathryn was looking at herself in the mirrored chest we have by the front door and said "pretty". She definitely knows she's a pretty little baby and I hope she always does! I just love hearing her say it.

Here are a few things I have made for my friend Ruth's daughter, Libby.

Here's a baby gift I made this weekend for my mom to give. I figure it's the least I can do since she has long-term loaned me her machine. I adore how they turned out! They still need to be washed to get my blue lines off but I just wanted to go ahead and share.

Here are a few things I have recently made for Kathryn and my nephew. It has been like a factory in my house. I have sewed so much this week. I appliqued 5 shirts, 4 onesies (well, one was a monogram), 2 bibs, a blanket, made 2 shorts, 2 bloomers and made and appliqued an a-line dress. I have started on a white pique jon jon for my nephew. I am making Kathryn a dress to match for their portraits in June.

The "extra" crab tee is for Libby. Here name is Elizabeth, I didn't just mess up the monogram (like with my mom's napkins!). Libby lives near Ashley and Thomas so when I go in town in June I will have to get their pic in these and I'll share.

I have a few more things I've made to post. I'll share next time. Good night!
