VBS

This week Kathryn and I are teaching the 2s and 3s in Vacation Bible School. I have enjoyed it but it has been tiring! There are a few boys that are a little naughty (Kathryn told me that ; ) ). There are 3 girls and 9 boys! I spend my day counting to 12 to make sure no one escapes. Seriously! One little boy went behind the playhouse on the playground and scaled the fence. He was almost on the other side when we grabbed him!! It isn't all bad, I do plan to teach with Kathryn again next year.

A few funny/crazy/cute things that have happened this week:
- Tuesday I told a little boy (who is actually very sweet and his mother about died when I told her this) to stop taking another child's toy and he told me "go back and sit on the bench in the shade." What?!?!? I wanted to laugh but was able to keep a straight face.
- Wednesday afternoon Kathryn accused me of taking her Minnie Mouse bracelet. I tried explaining to her that she had taken it off and handed it to mommy and she needs to be nice to mommy. She was quiet for a minute then said "you be nice to baby" while shaking her finger at me! I think VBS is teaching her some bad habits ; )
- On Tuesday a little boy came and snuggled up next to me on the floor and said "I love you". <3

The good thing is all but 3 are potty trained. Crazy enough I changed my first little boy diaper ever today. I have only changed a child other than Kathryn twice ever, the other time was about 10 years ago when I was baby-sitting. I'm not sure how that has worked out since I also do Sunday School once or twice each month.



Kathryn's aunt Mal send her a Minnie Mouse stuffed doll dressed like Tinkerbell that she got while visiting Disneyworld recently. Kathryn loved it! I pulled out her stuffed Tinkerbell doll she already had and showed her how they were dressed alike and she said "they're friends."
