Playing with LA
Last Thursday LA came over and played for several hours while her Mama got a root canal. Here is Kathryn waiting for her to get to our house.

Here are some pics of the girls having a snack in the playroom.

Kathryn is SO bossy with LA and most of the time LA will put up with it. Kathryn would say things like "LA, I told you no". At one point Kathryn was trying to take LA's stuffed kitty and I asked her why and she said "I want to put kitty in the fridgerator." Hmmm.......a little scary.
As most of you probably already know, Robert published his second book last week. YAY!! Things haven't slowed down yet as he is still working to advertise and promote the book but they will soon. We celebrated this weekend by both getting sick ; )
He was on a web show last Wednesday to talk about his book and got so much traffic on his book's site from it that his site temporarily crashed.

A gift from my sweetie
Playing with friends
Kathryn adores LA and told me tonight that she is her "best buddy". This cute pic below is after we ate lunch together last week with LA and her mommy.

We came home and played on the slide.

LA wasn't sure about it but Kathryn pulled her down the slide so she didn't really have a choice! Don't you love the girls in their sunglasses?

Not the best pic but love Kathryn feeding LA!

From music last week.

Not the best quality photo but loved E sticking her tongue out and wanted to share a pic of Kathryn with her microphone. The last song of the class you whipped it out of her purse (which contained only the essentials, microphone, lip gloss, a teacup, hand sanitizer, and a small figurine of Jack, the mouse from Cinderella) and began singing. Luckily she didn't get really loud so not everyone even noticed.
On the way home from Music.

Every week after class we go play on the playground at the church. Kathryn wore herself out! We played with one of her little friends E.N. She loves playing with him but she always talks about how rough he plays. He doesn't always play rough but I think she is still holding a grudge from an "incident" back in January, which wasn't even that bad. She loves to say "Eli play rough just like Tonnis [Thomas]". When we went to our Mommy group yesterday I mentioned Eli was going to have a new baby. Kathryn said "a bad baby." Not very polite but I do find it hilarious.
We ran in Old Navy to return a few things. Kathryn could not keep her hands off the dog mannequin! She just wanted to sit and hold him.

When we were in Memphis 2 weeks ago this is the way I found Kathryn after naptime. In the dark room I couldn't figure out what was where!

Kathryn meets my Dad!

This past weekend was very anxiety inducing. One, I wasn't sure if my dad would ever be well enough again to meet Kathryn and just the fact that I was introducing my three year-old to my dad. It just felt very unnatural. Well, I am happy to say that things went perfectly. The kids behaved, my dad felt well enough to walk around and interact with them, and we couldn't have asked for better weather.
The picture above was towards the end of our visit. I was so happy that Kathryn warmed up to him so fast. I think it helped that the meeting was at my sister's house, which used to be my mom's house, and that Thomas was comfortable with him. Please tell me the last time you saw 2 three year-olds smile at the camera at the same time.

Not sure if lifting Kathryn so she could dunk the football was a safe idea.
